The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) has launched a new volunteer internship program for law students interested in the youth justice and child welfare fields. This is an ongoing program with semester-long positions available beginning in the spring and summer of 2024.
Interns will conduct legal research and analysis; gain insight into federal, state, local and Tribal work across the continuum of care, including prevention, intervention, and system-involvement; and assist OJJDP staff with legal projects. Students may work remotely.
Submit all application materials in one combined pdf document via email to Student.Employment@ojp.usdoj.gov, subject line JP-24-OJJDP-AVOL.
Applications for the spring 2024 semester are due by October 1, 2023.
Applications for the summer 2024 semester are due by January 15, 2024.
