I Strengthen My Nation Challenge: Artistic Expressions of Resilience to Stand Against Substance Misuse
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) in partnership with with the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board (NPAIHB), through the We R Native program, challenges youth ages 14 to 25 to create art that inspires others. The artwork must demonstrate Indigenous resilience to substance misuse. Submit your artwork today for a chance to win some cash prizes! Make sure to read carefully through the rules and requirements before submitting your work! Submissions will close July 7, 2021 at 11:59PM ET.
Who is Eligible to Apply:
• Must be a U.S citizen or permanent resident
• Youth ages 18-24 (ideally those with a deep knowledge of American Indian and Alaska Native culture)
• If participant is under the age of 18, they must have parent/guardian permission
Submission Requirements:
• Submit artwork by mail or digitally (must be original artwork)
• Must include a written or video response explaining the artwork
• Submit Individual entry form
• If applying in a group, each group must submit one group entry form per art submission in addition to individual entry forms
