January 15, 2025 @ 8:00 am - 1:00 pm CST
The United South and Eastern Tribes (USET) Office of Tribal Public Health’s Behavioral Health team is hosting a Youth Mental Health First Aid Training in January 2025. Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed for adults working with you. The training will consist of roughly 2 hours of self-paced pre-work and one 5-hour virtual training day.
Mental Health First Aid, as defined by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.
