USET Tribal Wetlands Working Group
When: Quarterly Meetings – March 7, June 13, August 8, and Nov 7 at 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Central/2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Eastern
What: The USET Tribal Wetland Working Group (USET TWIG) is a Tribal specific working group to share knowledge, opportunities, and technical expertise to support the protection and restoration of Tribal wetlands in the USET region. This group encourages connections and mentorship between Tribal wetland programs and will host technical trainings on topics selected by Tribal specialists.
Meetings will take place quarterly throughout 2022-2023 to cover wetlands monitoring and assessment strategies, wetlands mapping, climate resiliency, environmental justice in the wetlands space, and the creation of an intertribal support network among USET wetland programmatic staff.
Who should attend: USET Tribal wetland specialists, USET Natural Resource Committee members, and USET Tribal environmental staff
Registration information and agenda coming soon. Please Note: This will be a Tribal-based community of practice and support network, therefore registration is only open to environmental staff members working for USET Tribal Nations at this time.
