The Tribal Self-Governance Advisory Committee (TSGAC) will host a Webinar on Thursday, September 28th, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm (ET). The purpose of the Webinar is to provide a Tribally-driven discussion on CHAP as it exists in Tribal communities in the Alaska and Portland Areas. Presenters will share the vision of their Tribes and Tribal leaders utilizing CHAP in the context of Self Governance and Self Determination.

Panelists from the Alaska and Portland Area will review:

• The latest information on CHAP implementation and current training opportunities.
• Information on the roles of the National Certification Board and Area CHAP Certification Board.
• A case study of tribal sovereignty in action and advocacy for dental health aide therapists in Washington State.
• Open Discussion, including ways for Self-Governance Tribes to get involved.
