The Tribal Self-Governance Advisory Committee (TSGAC) will host a Webinar on September 21, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm (ET). The Webinar will provide guidance to Tribes on steps to take in preparation for changes to current enrollment and eligibility rules for the Medicaid program that will occur as a result of the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency.

Tribal and Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS) panelists will focus on:

• Action items for Tribes in preparing for unwinding and its effect on Medicaid enrollment
• Data sharing
• Communication and Messaging
• Coordination with States

As always, there will be significant time available for participant questions. (Please note: Audio will be through PC speakers only).

TSGAC Issue Brief on Medicaid Unwinding: In preparation for the upcoming Webinar, the TSGAC has also developed another issue brief which provides Tribes and Tribal organizations with an overview of federal guidance on Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) eligibility and enrollment procedures as states prepare to resume routine operations, including eligibility terminations, when the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE) ends (“unwinding” period).
