ONAP Training: Resiliency Best Practice Toolkit

This training will equip Tribal Housing professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to develop resiliency within their current housing operations.
Through seven sessions, participants will explore the following topics:
- The Importance of Resilience in Tribal Communities
- Assessing Risks and Vulnerabilities in Tribal Housing
- FEMA Hazard Mitigation Plan and Funding Opportunities
- Integrating Building Codes into Tribal Housing
- Sustainable and Resilient Building Practices
- Disaster Response and Recovery Planning
- Building Partnerships and Securing Resource
This training will also include informative and interactive workshops to supplement the training curriculum in Risk Assessment & Prioritization and Developing a Resiliency Action Plan.
Participants leaving this training will be equipped with the following key tools: Culturally Relevant Housing Strategies, Risk Assessment and Mitigation Planning, Sustainable Building Practices, Funding and Resource Navigation, and Leadership & Advocacy Skills.
