Who should attend? Physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physician assistants, medical students, Tribal immunization programs, and other Tribal health professionals interested in learning about the benefits of vaccinations.
Our ancestors were no strangers to sickness and drew from traditional knowledge to keep them well. Join us on Wednesday, August 9, as Marley Fisher discuss how nutrition and other lifestyle factors support immune health. She will explore traditional Indigenous foods that contain immune-supporting nutrients and look beyond that into how traditional food systems support immune health.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe omega-3’s role as an anti-inflammatory.
- Discuss the disproportionate effect covid-19 has had on those with diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension.
