The National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) invites tribal leaders and allies from across Indian Country to join this week’s NCAI Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) Working Group Meeting.
The NCAI MMIW Working Group is a working body of the NCAI Task Force on Violence Against Women. During this meeting, the White House will host a listening session on the U.S. National Action Plan to End Gender Based Violence and provide an update on the fourth convening of the Trilateral Working Group on Violence Against Indigenous Women and Girls. Afterwards the Department of the Interior will update members on the status of the Not Invisible Act Commission. Working group members will report out to the NCAI Task Force on Violence Against Women during the 2022 NCAI Executive Council Winter Session.
