Federal regulators recently announced a final rule to strengthen and modernize the regulations implementing the CRA, a federal law that encourages banks to help meet the needs of their entire communities, especially in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, in a safe and sound manner. The updated CRA encourages banks to expand activities in Native Land Areas and reflects feedback from Indian Country stakeholders.
