Long Island Indigenous Perspective Canoe Tour

This event is Co-Sponsored by East End Explorer, Moskehtu Consulting, The North Sea Maritime Center and the Southampton History Museum.Moskehtu Consulting Presents “Long Island Indigenous Perspective Paddle Tour at Conscience Point” hosted by the Southampton History Museum.
Conscience Point is the known for being the landing place where the Shinnecock people made contact with the first English colonist who arrived in Southampton in June of 1640.
On July 9th join a paddle tour guided by Chenae Bullock who will cover oral Indigenous history, Indigenous plant identification, Indigenous life-ways, and Indigenous songs.
General Admission for everyone 13 and over is $40
12 and under are FREE
Rentals of Single Kayaks are $75 each
Rentals of Tandem Kayaks are $110 each
Rentals of Stand Up Paddle Boards are $90 each
Paddlers are asked to arrive between 7:45am and 8am so that vessels can be offloaded, and everyone can be ready to hit the water no later than 9am. All paddlers will be required to fill out a general liability waiver upon arrival.
What to bring:
Canoe or Kayak, Paddles, Lifevests, Dry Bag, Sunscreen; Bug Spray, Hat, Sunglasses, We ask paddlers to arrive at between 8:15am-8:25am to be prepared to unload vessels and gather as a group before we launch.
They are following the social distance guidelines and what to make sure everyone is safe and still having an enjoyable experience. All paddlers are encouraged to bring their own canoes/kayaks, paddles, and life vest. Should any participants need to rent we have partnered with East End Explorers to provide rentals.
