FEMA Webinar | Achieving Equitable Recovery: A Post-Disaster Guide for Local Leaders and Officials

You are invited to attend two webinars for Tribal Nations on April 2 and 3, 2024, on FEMA’s “Achieving Equitable Recovery: A Post-Disaster Guide for Local Officials and Leaders” (Equity Guide). The purpose of these webinars is to share how the Equity Guide can serve as a tool and resource to assist Tribal Nations during post-disaster recovery work.
The webinars will be hosted by FEMA’s Office of Response and Recovery in partnership with the FEMA Tribal Affairs branch. Key concepts in in the Equity Guide include:
- Lessening recovery disparities for people who are under-resourced, underserved, and marginalized.
- Building resilience for the whole community, reduce impacts of recurring disasters, and mitigate climate risks.
- Aligning recovery efforts with Executive Orders 13985 and 14008 and the Justice40 Initiative.
- Engaging FEMA Goal 1: Instill equity as a foundation of emergency management.
- Building upon Community Assistance Recovery Support Function Technical Assistance and resource guides.
The Equity Guide webinars will be held on Zoom on the following dates and registration is required:
