The Department of Labor is in the process of updating its Environmental Justice Strategy and is seeking feedback on how the Department could improve services and better service environmental justice (EJ) communities. On December 15, 2022, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time, DOL will be hosting an EJ Listening Session with tribal stakeholders to inform DOL’s efforts to advance environmental justice through equitable investments in workforce development and training. During this listening session, the Department will seek public input on what the greatest needs and/or barriers facing disadvantaged and/or environmentally-impacted communities are as it relates to employment, worker protections, and worker rights.
