The EPA recently launched a new webpage intended to “compile relevant EPA climate resources for Tribes.” It centralizes many of the tools, resources, and information on training and grants that EPA provides and some from other federal agencies.

The page also links to recordings of a recent training, Building Capacity to Act on Climate Change, hosted by the National Tribal Caucus (NTC) and EPA in June 2024. This training included sessions on vulnerability assessments, climate action plans, EPA resources, environmental justice, waste management, air quality, and children’s health protection.

Last, the agency continues to promote the notice of funding opportunity for the new Community Change Grants Program, open to partnerships between community-based organizations and any other non-profit institution, including federally-recognized Tribal Governments. Applications are accepted now through November 21 on a rolling basis.  No-cost technical assistance is available for all eligible applicants to assist with project planning, capacity building, application support, and more. See the technical assistance website, recorded trainings (applicable far beyond this grant program!), and the technical assistance request form.
