We are excited to announce an informative and interactive webinar entitled “Supporting the Indigenous Breastfeeding Family.” The objectives of this presentation include learning how to support Indigenous breastfeeding families by implementing policies and procedures on breastfeeding in the workplace. We will also discuss developing collaboration between Tribal health programs to support breastfeeding families and improve healthier lifestyles.
Our guest speaker, Dr. Charlene Remirez, is a Labor and delivery registered nurse who has been practicing for over 15 years and recently graduated with a Doctorate in Nurse Practice. Dr. Ramirez is currently working as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Montana State University and is starting a journey to becoming an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) within the following year.
