UN Consultation on Enhancing the Participation of Indigenous Peoples in Relevant United Nations Meetings on Issues Affecting Them

The President of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, H. E. Dennis Francis, has appointed Co-facilitators and Advisers to conduct consultations on possible further measures necessary to enhance the participation of Indigenous Peoples’ representatives and institutions in relevant United Nations meetings on issues affecting them, in accordance with General Assembly resolution 78/189. The next consultation is scheduled for July 22, 2024 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm ET. Registration for the in-person consultation will be open in the INDICO system until July 17, 2024.
