Mental Health First Aid Training
September 18 @ 8:00 am - 1:00 pm CDT
The United South and Eastern Tribes (USET) Office of Tribal Public Health’s Behavioral Health team is hosting two Mental Health First Aid Trainings in September 2024. The training will consist of approximately two hours of self-paced pre-work and one 5-hour virtual training day. Mental Health First Aid, as defined by their website, is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.
