HUD Webinar on Developing Programmatic Agreements Under Section 106

The Department of Housing and Urban Development will host a webinar on Section 106 compliance under the National Historic Preservation Act, which is required for all Environmental Assessments and for environmental reviews that are categorically excluded and subject to related laws (CEST). For Tribal projects involving the rehabilitation of single-family homes, the consultation for historic preservation is often the lengthiest part of the environmental review. Programmatic agreements can be used to shorten the compliance process. This webinar will provide Tribal Nations and THDEs with the information needed to develop a programmatic agreement with the Tribal Historic Preservation Officer and/or State Historic Preservation Officer. The webinar begins at 2:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, February 1, 2024.
