The Seminole Tribe of Florida is increasing renewable energy access, via solar panels, and battery storage across the Big Cypress Reservation. Increased energy generation and storage will provide reliable electricity to residents, even during grid outages, and lower energy costs for government facilities. Their 2018 project, Seminole Rural Reservation Resiliency Initiative, was featured by the Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs Tribal Energy Snapshot.
