National Convening on Building an Inclusive Human Services System
March 28, 2023 - March 29, 2023
Dear Tribal Leader,
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Service’s (HHS) Administration for Children and Families (ACF) will host the 2023 National Convening on Building an Inclusive Human Services System from March 28-29, 2023 in College Park, Maryland. This will be an in-person and virtual event. Registration is free.
The National Convening on Building an Inclusive Human Services System will focus on series of knowledge and skill-building sessions, as well as opportunities for establishing collaborative networks to support, promote, and enhance the implementation of equitable policies and practices that benefit children and families from communities of color, tribal communities, and from lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ+) persons, persons with disabilities, and persons from rural areas.
Additionally, the National Convening serves as the nation’s leading educational event for practitioners, advocates, and researchers within the field. While all the event’s sessions provide valuable information on supporting a more inclusive human services system, the “Empowerment for Equitable Outcomes in the Tribal Community” session provides specific information that will be helpful for tribal communities.
As mentioned earlier, registration is free. In-person and virtual attendees are required to register at www.ncbihss.com no later than March 20, 2023. During your registration, please select whether you will be attending in-person or virtually. Event information, including hotel lodging, is available at https://ncbihss.com/e/ncbihss-2023.
