FERC Webinar: Interstate Transmission Proposed Rule
March 1, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm CST
March 1, 2023 at 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Eastern
On December 15, 2022, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“Commission”) issued a proposed rule regarding the Commission’s siting authority for interstate electric transmission lines. The proposed rule would impact the way certain electric transmission lines are sited, including the Commission’s environmental review of qualifying transmission lines. The proposed rule was issued in response to congressional directives included in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
The Commission values the insights and concerns of Tribal Nations and is seeking your input during the development of this rule. To inform your comments, Commission staff is providing you and your staff with an overview of the proposed rule and an opportunity to engage Commission staff in a Q&A. The session will not be recorded and is not intended to function as government-to-government consultation on the proposed rule.
You can find a copy of the proposed rule and other relevant information here.
