Resource & Patient Management System (RPMS) Training

The United South and Eastern Tribes (USET) Tribal Epidemiology Center (TEC) is planning to host a virtual RPMS training over the span of June and July. The training will consist of six lunch and learn sessions that each have a defined focus on the following data systems: (1) EHR, (2) Behavioral Health GUI, and (3) the Pharmacy Package. Sessions will provide an overview of the data systems outlined, including how systems and applications are integrated, their associated strengths and limitations, and best practices for data entry, management, and reporting. In addition, the training will also aim to address topics across participants’ various organizational job roles.
When? June 9, 16*, 23, and July 7, 14, 28 at 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm Central/1:00 pm – 2:30 pm Eastern each day

Participants will learn how:
- To maximize current capabilities within EHR, Behavioral Health GUI, and the Pharmacy package to ensure patient care.
- To run various reports that can be utilized to improve patient care/make changes within the clinic & community.
- To better understand the implications of inaccurate reporting (patient care, statewide databases, resource sharing & funding, etc.).
Who should attend? Healthcare professionals including physicians,
advance practice providers, pharmacists, nurses, medical assistants, and behavioral health specialists that work for USET member Tribal Nations

Description:
The Pharmacy package session will provide an overview of the data system, integration with EHR, associated strengths and limitations, as well as best practices for data entry, management, and reporting. In addition, the training will aim to address topics across participants’ various organizational job roles to improve workflows.
Outcomes/Objectives:
As a result of participating in this activity, the healthcare team will:
- Explore the strengths and limitations of the RPMS Pharmacy package and how it is integrated in EHR.
- Examine how the RPMS Drug File effects prescribing in EHR.
- Utilize the various EHR pharmacy reports to optimize medication therapy quality, team roles and communication, and patient outcomes.

Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists, and other members of the healthcare team
Instructions for Obtaining Continuing Education Credit:
To receive a certificate of continuing education, you must participate in the entire live activity, and complete the online course evaluation by July 14, 2022. You will be able to print your certificate after completing the evaluation.
ACCREDITATION:
In support of improving patient care, IHS Clinical Support Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
This activity was planned by and for the health care team, and learners will receive 1.5 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits for learning and change.
Physicians
The IHS Clinical Support Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 1½ AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Pharmacists
This activity provides 1.5 hours of knowledge-based continuing pharmacy education credit (CPE) with the UAN JA4008177-0000-22-032-L04-P.
Credit will be uploaded to the NABP CPE Monitor within 30 days after the activity completion. It is the responsibility of the pharmacist to provide the correct information (NABP ID and DOB (MMDD) in order to receive credit.
Nurses
This activity is designated 1.5 contact hours for nurses.
