Applicant Trainings for FY22 Tribal Nations Wild Cervid CWD Opportunities

On April 7th, 2022, APHIS announced nearly $10 million now available for state agencies and Tribal Nations and organizations for the control and prevention of chronic wasting disease (CWD) in farmed and wild cervids (e.g., deer, elk). All opportunities are open to Federally Recognized Native American Tribal governments, including this new separate $400,000 funding opportunity for activities controlling or preventing CWD in wild cervid on Tribal lands. The open period for submitting applications begins on April 14, 2022.

Applicants can find the funding opportunity information on the ezFedGrants or Grants.gov by searching the CFDA Number 10.028 or the Funding Opportunity Number USDA-APHIS-10028-WSNWRC00-22-0014. Applications for the FY22 Tribal Nations Wild Cervid CWD Opportunities are due in ezFedGrants by June 14, 2022, at 11:59 PM EST.
