We are excited to come together in Burlingame, CA on August 1 – August 4 for the 2022 Tribal Self-Governance Conference. Join us at the conference to learn about and share leading practices in Tribal governance, hear critical updates from the Administration and Congress, discuss challenges Tribal governments face and collaboratively identify solutions, discuss hot topics, and catch up with another!

Tour of Alcatraz Island with Dr. LaNada War Jack

Join a tour of Alcatraz Island on August 5th from 7:30 am – 12:30 pm. They are honored that Dr. LaNada War Jack, an organizer for the 1969 Occupation of Alcatraz, has offered to serve as the tour guide. A shuttle will depart the hotel promptly at 7:30 am and will return at 12:30 pm. The cost for the tour is $30. It is limited to 50 people. If you want to reserve a spot, please email info@tribalselfgov,org. The first 50 people to send an RSVP will be placed on the list.

ALLSZN Youth Camp

They are excited to host the ALLSZN youth music camp during the conference. If you know any students or young adults (15 – 19) that are interested in music production, this camp is a great opportunity for them to learn more about song writing and music and video production. The camp is also intended to help Native youth build self-esteem and learn tools to help them express their feelings and emotions in a positive outlet. By the end of the camp, the participants will produce a song and music video to share with the conference attendees. Interested youth and students can email info@tribalselfgov.org to obtain additional information.

NOTE: All youth attendees under 18 will need a parent or guardian to accompany them. They will offer free registration to the conference for a parent or guardian accompanying a youth camp participant.

The room block at the host hotel (Hyatt Regency SFO) is filled and the hotel is unable to expand the room block further. There are several hotels nearby that are good options, including:
