USET Climate Program Manager

The USET OERM Climate Program Manager will be responsible for the leadership, development, and administration of the USET Tribal Climate Resilience Program; and serve as a resource on climate change issues, guide research of climate-related changes and impacts to USET Member Tribal Nations and assess climate resilience strategies guided by the Indigenous knowledges and values of the diversity of USET Member Tribal Nations. This position will hold supervisory responsibilities for Climate program staff within the OERM department.

Climate Resilience Training Coordinator

This is an entry-level position within the Climate Resiliency Program, administered through the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Environmental Protection Office (EPO). The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in the coordination of a “Sustainable and Climate Resilient Communities” Workshop Series and the drafting of the Tribe’s first Climate Action Plan. The position will be based in the Brighton Reservation but must be able to travel to all STOF Reservations (see details and apply).

Climate Resiliency Applied Research Analyst

This is a mid-level position within the Climate Resiliency Program, administered through the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Environmental Protection Office (EPO) located in Hollywood, FL. The incumbent in this position leads the expansion of climate resiliency in-house research efforts and the development of strategic partnerships with agencies and academic institutions that can support our research objectives. The individual is responsible for coordinating and conducting direct research on a variety of environmental and climate challenges, analyzing and interpreting climate trends, connecting EPO programs within a climate lens to achieve maximum tribal benefit, and communicate technical stories in accessible platforms (see details and apply).

Post-doctoral Research Associate Positions at the Center for Braiding Indigenous Knowledges and Science (CBIKS) – Apply by October 30

CBIKS is hiring two new full-time post-doctoral research associates with immediate start dates. The fellowships will be focused in Fieldwork and Braiding Knowledges (more info) and Ethics and Relationality (more info). Each position is expected to work at least partly on-site at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst and eligible applicants are those who have received a PhD in the last 4 years.

American Climate Corps – various deadlines

The US government has launched the American Climate Corps, a platform for exploring a variety of positions related to climate resilience.
