USET, in Partnership with EPA, is Pleased to Announce a Pesticides Workshop

Who Should Attend?
This Pesticides Workshop is designed for Agricultural, Forestry, Farm, and Ranch operations.
  
Why Should You Attend?
This Pesticides Workshop is designed for Agricultural, Forestry, Farm, and Ranch operations. Our presenters will include persons from EPA, USDA, BIA, and Tennessee Extension Service. Presenters will discuss stewardship of the land, Best Management Practices, public health and public works issues, traditional and culturally significant agricultural methods, and hands-on demonstration on mixing and spraying pesticides. USET will provide up to $1,000 travel scholarship per person for two participants from any EPA Region 4 USET Member Tribe.
  
Some Topics on the Agenda will be:
- Invasive Species Management and Mitigation
- Maintaining Agriculture Use While Minimizing Environmental Impact
- Agriculturally-related Chemical Hazards to Tribal Lands, Water, Air, and Culturally Significant Species
- A group table top exercise will be conducted whereby a complete pesticide management program will be developed.
